Delhi-Agra yamuna Expressway in Andhra-Telangana..!?

* Reduced travel distances with new roads.

* khammam - Devarapalli Greenfield Highway is a great benefit for motorists.

* Construction is likely to be completed soon.

As part of the Bharat Mala project, the travel distance between hyderabad and Visakhapatnam is being reduced. Besides, the khammam - Devarapalli greenfield control highway project has been taken up to reduce travel time. It was supposed to be built between Suryapet-Devarapalli but as the construction of a highway between Khammam-Suryapet had already started, the center-sanctioned greenfield road from khammam to Devarapalli in AP. At present, the construction work of this road is being constructed in 5 parts at a cost of Rs.4,500 crores. The people of the nearby villages where this road is being constructed are raising many doubts. Whether this road is accessible from their villages or not. Presently the national highways in our district are brownfield roads. From these roads, the nearby villages are connected with the national highway. But the matter of greenfield road is interchange only at some important points.
This greenfield highway will be similar to the Yumana Expressway built between Delhi-Agra and hyderabad Outer Ring Road. The entire road will be covered with iron fencing. Due to this, vehicles cannot enter this road at will. Only 8 to 10 interchange points will come up in the total 162 km road. Some of these points will be at Recherla between Chintalapudi-Erraguntapalli, at Putlagatlagudem on the Jangareddygudem - eluru road, at Ponguturu on the Koyyalagudem - Nallajarla road, and at Devarapalli. This highway is being built so that cars can travel at a speed of 120 km per hour and heavy vehicles at a speed of 100 km per hour. If the construction of this highway is completed, it is estimated that the car journey from Suryapet to rajahmundry will be only 3 hours. Suryapet khammam Highway 51 km which is available now takes only 35 minutes. Due to this, the distance between hyderabad and vizag will be reduced by 56 km and the travel time will be reduced a lot.

There will be no toll plazas on this greenfield main road. Toll plazas are only on service roads established at interchanges. For example, a car going to Hyderabad-Vizag registers at the toll plaza on the khammam interchange service road and travels non-stop to Devarapalli. Toll collection for the entire journey will be done at the toll plaza at Devarapalli when entering the service road. Those going Jangareddygudem-Hyderabad should register at the interchange toll plaza at Putlagatlagudem and pay the toll at the khammam exit. Every vehicle plying on this road is recorded in detail and there is no chance of escaping the toll. Since it is an expressway, tractors and autos are not allowed on it.
