Congress leaders met cm Soren, put forth these 11 demands…


jharkhand congress in-charge Ghulam ahmed Mir, state president Rajesh Thakur and All india Mahila congress President Alka Lamba met chief minister Hemant Soren on Sunday. Alka Lamba told the media after the meeting that saturday was the Chief Minister's birthday and we wished him. She said that during the meeting, the congress has handed over a letter of 11 demands to the CM.


These 11 demands were put before the CM

Regarding the 11 demands put forth by the congress, Alka Lamba said that while thanking for the incentive amount given to our mothers and sisters under the 'Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana', we have requested to increase the incentive amount in view of the rising inflation. She said that along with the formation of the Women's Commission, the congress has demanded that the pending cases be heard and the sisters get justice.

Alka Lamba said that women police stations should be built in every district and women police should be recruited. Talking about women's rights, Alka Lamba said that the party has demanded 50 percent reservation for women in government and private jobs. In honor of women, she has demanded the jharkhand government to double the salary of Asha sisters, Anganwadi workers and mid-day meal workers.


'Demand for giving free sanitary napkins to girls'

The congress leader said that the central government is not doubling the honorarium of these sisters. We are going to take to the streets and protest to increase the honorarium of the sisters. Along with this, she has demanded free sanitary napkins to girls studying in government schools. Accusing the central government, she said that the government is not making new ration cards. The names of the sisters of jharkhand are not being added to the ration cards that have been made. Due to this, our sisters are not getting the benefits of government schemes.


cm Soren gave this assurance

women congress President Alka Lamba said that along with these demands, we have also made many other demands from the government in the interest of women. Meanwhile, after the meeting, jharkhand congress in-charge Ghulam ahmed Mir said that there was a discussion on resolving the decisions and work that were left pending during the turmoil in the government. He said that cm Hemant Soren has also said that he is working on it and all these matters will be resolved within 10 days.
