CM Mann said, Our govt started strict action…!!!


punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on thursday (August 15) called upon the people to launch a campaign to prevent environmental pollution and preserve natural resources. cm Mann said, "We have to launch a mass movement to protect our environment so that it can be saved for our future generations."

chief minister Bhagwant Mann, in his speech after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of 78th Independence Day, said that the state government will leave no stone unturned for this noble cause and punjab will soon become a clean, green and pollution-free state. cm Mann recalled the immense contribution of Punjabis in the national freedom struggle. The chief minister said that Punjabis have played a leading role in maintaining the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country even in the post-independence era.


He said that the hardworking and determined farmers of the state played an important role in ushering in the era of Green Revolution, making the country self-sufficient in food production. An official release quoted Mann as saying that punjab farmers have paid a heavy price for overexploiting the state's natural resources in terms of water and fertile soil. He said the country can progress only when punjab prospers and moves on the path of development.


 The chief minister said that curbing environmental pollution is a serious challenge these days and all punjab residents should play an active role in it. Mann said that now the time has come that we should take a pledge to save the state's environment and imbibe the teachings of gurbani in our lives to restore the state's ancient glory. The chief minister also said that the state government has started strict action by adopting a policy of elimination of drugs.
