congress leaders had to walk 2 km to submit a memorandum under the congress Halla Bol movement in Ujjain. During the movement, there was a ruckus like situation for some time, but later the State congress Committee President Jeetu Patwari and leader of Opposition Umang Singhar ended the movement by submitting a memorandum to the Collector.


congress took to the streets today (Friday) under the Halla Bol movement in Ujjain. The leaders fiercely targeted chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the bjp government. He alleged that false cases are being registered against congress leaders and workers in ujjain district. Apart from this, action is also being taken to demolish the house. congress has come out in the field regarding the atrocities being done with the workers. After addressing the public meeting, the congress leaders marched on foot and reached to surround the Collector's office.


The police had barricaded all around outside the vikramaditya Administrative Complex building. The protesters tried to enter inside by climbing the barricades. The protesters had to retreat in the face of police's strictness. During the Halla Bol movement, a situation of uproar arose. congress leaders insisted on giving the memorandum to collector Neeraj Kumar Singh only. Former chief minister Digvijay Singh, leader of Opposition in the assembly Umang Singhar and MLAs including state president Jeetu Patwari also staged a sit-in protest at the Kothi.

Seeing the uproar increasing, the collector came out and took the Congress' memorandum. Jeetu Patwari and leader of Opposition Umang Singhar handed over the memorandum to the collector and announced the end of the Halla Bol movement. mla Mahesh Parmar said that thousands of workers reached the Collector's office by walking for 2 kilometers. There was a strict police vigil outside the vikramaditya Administrative Complex building. congress workers climbing the barricades had to retreat in the face of police's strictness.
