Aditya had said that there are no councilors in the metropolis for more than two years and the posts of 15 city ward officers are also lying vacant. Apart from BMC, the elections of thane and pune Municipal Corporations are also pending for two years. It is said that there will be nine new wards in BMC. Of these, three will be in urban area, three in western suburb area and three in eastern suburb area.
