What is the status of JJP before the assembly elections?
After the announcement of assembly elections in haryana, political stir has increased. Before the elections, former Deputy cm Dushyant Chautala's party JJP has suffered a setback. 6 out of 10 MLAs of Jannayak Janata party (JJP) are now out of the party. While four JJP MLAs have resigned from the party in the last two days, the party has already written a letter to the assembly Speaker to disqualify two MLAs as MLAs under the Anti Defection Law. These two MLAs are ram Niwas Surajkheda from Narwana and Jogi ram Sihag from Barwala.
JJP's petition is still with the haryana assembly Speaker. Jannayak Janata party has a total of 10 MLAs, out of which 6 are rebels. In such a situation, just before the assembly elections, more than half of the JJP MLAs are no longer in the party.
assembly elections have been announced in Haryana. The election commission has announced to conduct voting in haryana in one phase on friday (August 16). Voting will be held here on october 1 and the results will be declared on october 4. In such a situation, all the parties including JJP are working hard to increase the mass base.
Let us tell you that before the lok sabha elections 2024, in the month of April, JJP state president nishan Singh resigned from the party. After the formation of the party in the year 2018, he was given the responsibility of state president. Before the lok sabha elections, the alliance of bjp and JJP in haryana for about four and a half years was broken. After the alliance broke, ajay Chautala-led party JJP contested the lok sabha elections alone. However, JJP did not get any success in the lok sabha elections 2024. In this election, bjp won 5 seats while congress also won five seats.
