Actually on 13 august 2012, on the auspicious occasion of rakshabandhan, the chief minister launched the "Bihar Tree Protection Day". Its objective is to make people aware of the environment, preserve plants and plant as many trees as possible. Climate Change minister Dr. prem Kumar said that tree plantation is being done on a large scale under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali and other schemes. At the same time, there was a lot of hustle and bustle in the shops and streets of patna regarding Raksha Bandhan. Sisters tied Rakhi to their brothers and took the promise of protection, while brothers also assured their sisters of protection.
