CM nitish kumar tied Rakhi to trees, planted saplings!!!


chief minister nitish kumar tied Raksha Sutra to the 'Bombax Ippolitica' tree at the Rajdhani Vatika in patna on monday (August 19) on the auspicious occasion of rakshabandhan and 'Bihar Tree Protection Day'. The chief minister also planted a 'Doranda' plant in the Rajdhani Vatika on this occasion.


'Bihar Tree Protection Day' is celebrated on the day of Rakshabandhan

Actually on 13 august 2012, on the auspicious occasion of rakshabandhan, the chief minister launched the "Bihar Tree Protection Day". Its objective is to make people aware of the environment, preserve plants and plant as many trees as possible. It is very important to plant and save trees to reduce the damage caused to the earth due to climate change.

Climate Change minister Dr. prem Kumar said that tree plantation is being done on a large scale under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali and other schemes. Work is also progressing rapidly towards promoting eco-tourism in the state. With the plans and efforts of the state government, the people of the state are becoming aware of the conservation of environment and animals and tree plantation.


Many ministers and officials were present with the CM

On this occasion, Deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs minister Shri Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change minister Dr. prem Kumar, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary deepak Kumar and many ministers and MLAs were present. At the same time, there was a lot of hustle and bustle in the shops and streets of patna regarding Raksha Bandhan. Sisters tied Rakhi to their brothers and took the promise of protection, while brothers also assured their sisters of protection. Due to it being the last monday, a lot of crowd was also seen in the temples.
