The nomination process is going on for one rajya sabha seat which has fallen vacant in Madhya Pradesh. Tomorrow, 21st august is the last day to file nomination. bjp has announced its candidate in Madhya Pradesh. bjp has fielded Union minister George Kurien from here.


Let us tell you that the rajya sabha seat fell vacant after Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia left for Lok Sabha. Tomorrow is the last date for filing nominations of candidates. Voting will be held on 3rd September. Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that nomination papers for rajya sabha elections in the state will be filled by 21st August. He said that the notification for rajya sabha elections was issued by the election commission of india on 7th August. The nomination process for rajya sabha elections in the state which started on 14th august will conclude on 21st August.


Tomorrow is the last day to file nomination for the only seat


Rajan said that the nomination papers will be reviewed on 22nd August. Voting will be held on september 3 from 9 am to 4 pm and the results will also be announced on the same day. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has been elected mp from Guna parliamentary seat. rajya sabha elections are to be held on the seat vacated in place of Jyotiraditya Scindia.


Who will bjp make its candidate for Rajya Sabha?


In such a situation, the question arises whether Union minister Amit Shah will have his way or someone else will get a chance to reach Rajya Sabha. However, there is a discussion that bjp can send an outsider leader from madhya pradesh to Rajya Sabha. Currently, Banshilal Gurjar, Umesh Nath, L. Murugan, maya Narolia are all rajya sabha members from madhya pradesh and ashok Singh from Congress. Their term is from 3 april 2024 to 2 april 2023. While Kavita Party, sumitra Balmiki of bjp and vivek Tankha of congress will have a tenure from june 30, 2022 to june 29, 2028, Sumer Singh Solanki of bjp and Digvijay Singh of congress will have a tenure from june 22, 2020 to june 21, 2026.
