Suresh Gopi, the union minister of state for petroleum and natural gas, stated on wednesday that making movies is his passion and that he cannot live without it.

The former actor is the first Keralan mp for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was chosen to represent thrissur in the Lok Sabha. Gopi holds the position of State minister for Tourism.

During a speech at the thiruvananthapuram Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, Gopi declared, "My passion is film." I will not survive if there is no film. I've asked for permission to play in the film Ottakkomban. Although I haven't received authorization yet, I will begin Ottakkomban on september 6.

"I've committed to appearing in between 20 and 22 movies. I informed (Union home Minister) amit shah that I had committed to acting in about 20 to 22 films when he asked me how many films were still pending. He (Shah) tossed away the paper. I'll follow my leaders at all times. But I love movies, or I'll die,'' he remarked.

"I will enlist three or four ministry personnel to help me perform the duties of the minister (during filming)." I'll provide them with a caravan. I'll feel like I've escaped if they send me back because of it. I will then have more time to spend with the thrissur residents. I did not receive the cabinet berth directly. "I'm giving my chair as a gift to the people who elected the BJP," he remarked.
