Tummala nageswara rao is one of the leaders who has turned the wheel at the state level as well as in the joint khammam district. He has four decades of political power. Tummala left his mark on the development of the Ummadi khammam district. It is remarkable that Tummala won from three different parties. It is another record that he became a minister under four CMs in three parties. From 1983 to 2004, Tummala nageswara rao contested in Satthupally, 2009, and 2014 as a telugu desam party candidate from khammam a total of eight times. He won from Satthupalli in 1985, 1994, and 1999 and lost in 1983 and 1989. He won in khammam in 2009 election and lost in 2014. Later he joined BRS and became a minister. After the death of ram reddy Venkat reddy, who won as a congress candidate from Paleru in 2014, he stood in the ring of by-elections and became an mla from BRS also in Paleru. After that, he contested from the same party and lost in the 2018 elections.
In last year's election, he contested from congress on a BRS ticket and won in Khammam. Tummala bhadradri was born in Gandugulapalli, Dammapet Mandal, kothagudem District. Completed B.Com in degree. Tummala nageswara rao entered politics in 1978 at NTR's call and was defeated in the 1983 election as Satthupalli tdp candidate. Again in 1985, he won the by-elections after a year and a half. He took charge as minister of the Small Water Drainage Department during the ntr regime. Thummala, who was defeated in 1989, won against from Satthupalli in the 1994 elections.


After that Tummala nageswara rao took charge as minister of Small Water Drainage. On august 20, 1996, he became the Excise minister in Chandrababu's government. After that, in december 1996, he took charge of the Heavy Water Drainage Department. He won as mla from Satthupalli in the 1999 elections. In 2001, he was promoted to minister of Roads and Buildings. Once again defeated in the 2004 election, Thummala was appointed as khammam district tdp president in the same year. Thummala worked as a minister under ntr and Chandrababu in the telugu Desam Party. Later he joined BRS and became a minister in the kcr government. Now he joined the congress and was a minister under revanth Reddy. He also holds the record of serving as a minister for the longest time in two telugu states. He also became mla from Satthupally, Paleru, and Khammam.
