Botsa Satyanarayana made his political debut with the congress party. In 1999, Botsa Satyanarayana won for the first time from the bobbili parliamentary constituency. In the years 2004 and 2009, he won as mla from the Cheepurupalli constituency. YS Rajasekhar reddy was the chief minister at that time. Botsa worked as minister of Heavy industry and panchayat Raj, Transport and Marketing in YS Rajasekhar Reddy's Cabinet. Moreover, Botsa Satyanarayana served as the president of PCC in united Andhra Pradesh. Botsa Satyanarayana joined the ycp after the death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. After Jaganmohan reddy became the chief minister, Botsa Satyanarayana also took charge as the minister of education in his cabinet. Even though the ycp party lost in the assembly elections held yesterday, Botsa Satyanarayana also won as an MLC recently.
