Kadiyam srihari started his political journey through the telugu Desam Party. Between 1987 and 1994 Kadiyam srihari served as the district President of warangal district telugu Desam Party. After that in 1988, he worked as the Chairman of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority. He contested and won as an mla from Station Ghanpur constituency for the first time in 1994 and served as minister of Marketing in chief minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao's government.
After that, in the 2014 lok sabha elections, he contested as mp from the warangal constituency from the trs party and won. Kadiyam srihari was elected mla Kota MLC in 2015 and also served as telangana Deputy chief minister GAB and education Minister. He contested as mla from Station Ghanpur constituency in 2023 election and won. Kadiyam srihari left the BRS party on march 31, 2024, and joined the congress party in the presence of telangana state affairs in-charge Deepadas Munshi and chief minister Revanth Reddy. He will get a good position in this party also.
