Chief minister M karunanidhi inaugurated the international Muthamizh Murugan Conference at palani to make the devotees of Lord Muruga all over the world aware of the greatness of Lord Muruga.K.Stalin will inaugurate the project through video conferencing today.

Though the tamil people worship many Gods like Shiva, Vishnu, parvathi Amman and, Lord Muruga has a special place in their hearts as the tamil God. The government of tamil Nadu has organized the All World Muthamizh Murugan Conference today and tomorrow on behalf of the Religious and Charitable Endowments Department at palani, the third Padai Veedu of the Arupadai Veedu.

Ratnagiri Balamuruganadi Swamigal will host the conference flag at 8.55 am at the premises of Dhandayuthapani college of Arts and Culture, Palani. minister Periyasamy will preside over the inauguration of the exhibition. minister Chakrapani takes the lead.   Vel Kottam will be inaugurated by Dindukal mp Satchidanandam and mla Senthil Kumar. The conference was inaugurated by chief minister M.K.Stalin will inaugurate the event through video conferencing.

Minister for Endowments Sekar Babu will deliver the inaugural address. Dharmapuram Aadheenam Desiya Gnanasambandha Paramacharya Swamigal, Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar, madurai Aadheenam Harikara Desika Gnanasambandha Paramacharya Swamigal and Bommapuram Aadheenam Sivagnana Balaya Swamigal will deliver blessings.

Then the Conference Function Magazine and the Research Magazine are released. This will be followed by speeches by high court Justices Subramanian, Pugazhendhi and Sivagnanam. This will be followed by speeches by religious elders, spiritual discourses, devotional music, Patti Mandram and cultural programmes. The first day of the programme concludes with the thirumurugan Thirukalyana drama of Kalaimamani raja troupe.
