In kerala Govt's Big Move, SIT To Probe Explosive 'Me Too' Allegations In malayalam Cinema

Explosive accusations of sexual misconduct have shaken the malayalam film industry with big names coming under the lens and now the state government has decided to form a special investigation team to investigate further.


Thiruvananthapuram: In a major move in the background of allegations against various personalities from the malayalam film industry, the kerala government has decided to form a special investigation team comprising senior women police officers under the leadership of IG Sparjan Kumar to investigate the allegations and complaints.
This comes in the wake of the churn in the malayalam film industry following the release of Justice hema Committee report, which pointed towards numerous incidents of casting couch and sexual abuse in the field.Some women had publicly named siddique and Edavela Babu, former general secretaries of the Association of malayalam movie Artists (AMMA), filmmaker Ranjith, and actors Mukesh, Sudheesh, and Riyas Khan for sexually harassing or misbehaving with them.
