The Formula 4 race, which was scheduled to be held last year but was later postponed, will be held on august  31  and september 1 at a  distance of 3.5 km around the Theevuthidal Grounds in Chennai.  It will be held on the perimeter roads.
The sports Development Authority of tamil Nadu (SDAT) has fixed a fee ranging from Rs 1,999 to Rs 19,999 for spectators. sports Development minister stalin -Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>udhayanidhi stalin held a meeting with the Chief Secretary and officials of all departments to discuss the preparations for the Formula 4 race. The meeting discussed the preparations and safety aspects of the Formula 4 race.

Speaking to reporters, Udhayanidhi said that car racing will not cause traffic congestion in any way. minister Udhayanidhi said that 8000 people have been arranged to watch the match and the public can watch the match free of cost on the morning of coming 31st.  

A three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked by Udhayanidhi stalin, the minister of youth Welfare and sports Development for tamil Nadu, and RPPL. The chennai Formula Racing Circuit is 3.5 kilometers in length, with 19 bends and an anticlockwise layout. Driven international is designing it; among other projects, they have worked on the Yas marina Circuit renovations, the hyderabad Street Circuit, and the soon-to-be Nanoli Speedway.
 
The pit and paddock structures will be constructed on Island Grounds, which also happens to be the location of the victory war Memorial and the Napier Bridge. To create the circuit, the sports Development Authority of tamil Nadu (SDAT) would contribute Rs 42 crore, while RPPL will invest Rs 200 crore.
