Actor siddique has resigned from the post of general secretary of the malayalam Film Artistes Association (AMMA) following allegations of sexual harassment. Following this, political debates have arisen over the hema Commission report. Speaking to reporters, leader of Opposition v narayanasamy from the congress party said.T. Satheesan said, "What is the reason for incubating the hema Commission report in 2019 for four-and-a-half years without taking action? Who is it trying to save?"  he asked. Responding to this, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, "Action has been taken on the basis of the complaints of actresses in the past. The government has no intention of saving anyone. Action will be taken if a complaint is filed."
