Anna University. minister Ponmudi has announced that the hike in examination fees has been put on hold. anna university has announced a 50% hike in semester examination fees in engineering colleges.

Accordingly, the fee for degree certificate and combined mark sheet in autonomous colleges has also been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500. anna university has increased the semester examination fee for non-autonomous colleges from Rs 150 to Rs 225 for UG degrees and from Rs 450  to Rs670  for postgraduate degrees.

Higher   education minister P Ponmudi has announced that the new fee hike in engineering examinations in anna university has been put on hold. The examination fee hike in anna university has been put on hold till the next syndicate passes a resolution. At present, only the examination fee that can be paid will be in force. The existing system of examination fee will continue. Not only this year, but next year also the examination fee will be stopped.

The hike in examination fees has been put on hold for the time being in view of the fact that it will affect the students.  Therefore, there will be no increase in examination fees this year, next year and in the coming days," he said.
