Big statement by Union minister arjun ram Meghwal…?

The nda government led by prime minister narendra Modi has announced the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for central government employees. Now employees can choose any one of the existing (new pension scheme) NPS and UPS as per their convenience. However, the opposition is constantly attacking the government regarding this. The opposition says that the most beneficial pension scheme for government employees is OPS and it should be implemented again.

Now, responding to the attacks of the opposition, Union minister arjun ram Meghwal has given a big statement. Union Law minister arjun ram Meghwal, referring to the then manmohan singh government from 2004 to 2014, said that during that time the congress had no problem with NPS. The minister said, "The concept of NPS came around 2004. After this manmohan singh took over as the Prime Minister. Then between 2004 and 2014, there was no protest against the New Pension Scheme of manmohan singh government. He himself used to praise NPS." 'This was not a congress issue' The Union minister further said, "This was never a congress issue. When narendra Modi's government was formed in 2014, congress started looking for issues against PM Modi. Till 2017, they did not find any issue. Then they took up the issue of employees, which they raised." 'UPS is most beneficial for employees'- arjun ram Meghwal

arjun ram Meghwal said, "As soon as this issue came to the national front, PM Modi formed a committee under the chairmanship of the Finance Secretary. That committee took a decision after discussing with all the stakeholders. After this decision, NPS and UPS are being implemented together. Whoever sees more benefit in UPS, should adopt UPS. I think that the Unified Pension Scheme is a big decision taken in the interest of the employees."
