A 233-page committee headed by Justice hema has released a detailed report on sexual harassment of women in the malayalam film industry. The report has officially brought to light many shocking details such as sexual harassment of women in connection with film opportunities and trespassing into the rooms of fellow actresses in a drunken state. The names of many leading actors, directors, and producers in the malayalam film industry have been shocked by this. Many people who have been accused of sexual harassment are resigning from their Nadigar Sangam posts.

Actor Siddique, who is the general secretary of the malayalam Film Artistes Association (AMMA), has resigned from his post. Siddiqui's decision to resign comes after an actress accused him of sexual harassment.

Confirming the news, AMMA vice-president Jayan Cherthala said, "When such allegations are made against Siddiqui, he cannot continue in this post. That is why he has resigned," he said. Following this, many people including actor and director Ranjith have resigned from their Nadigar Sangam posts due to sexual allegations.

Many such shocking things are happening in the malayalam film industry. Many people are expressing their opinions on this.

Actress Urvashi, who has been a leading actress in malayalam and tamil film industries, said, "This is a big shock. Many actresses like me depend on cinema.  It’s frightening and shocking to think that we've all worked and will be working among these men.

No one bothered me as I was a leading lady, came from a well-to-do background and my family kept a close watch on me. But women who grow up without a big background face a lot of sexual harassment. It is an undeniable fact that sexual harassment of women happens not only in the malayalam film industry but in all the film industry.

Men and women have to work together here. This should not happen again in our film industry. The government should fully intervene and ensure the safety of women. Everyone in the film industry should speak about this fearlessly and openly. I will always stand by the women who are victims."
