The use of dating apps has increased in big cities. Similarly, there are more incidents of fraud using these apps. In Mumbai, there have been several instances of women taking men to popular restaurants and cheating them on dating apps.

Social activist deepika Narayan has shared on her social media page that there are many incidents of women inviting men to the Godfather Club in Andheri West, ordering food or liquor for exorbitant rates, and then fleeing. "Women who invite friends on a dating app in a day or two take them to a popular pub or beer bar, club, restaurant, etc. The women escape by saying that they have to rush out at the time of payment of bills, after buying food items and liquor to get a bill of Rs  23,000 to Rs 60,000," deepika said.

He also shared the bills given by the fraudsters on his social media. After the women leave, the young men who go with the girls are afraid of the club and pub staff and give money in some way. Some have been beaten up by pub and restaurant staff for not being able to pay. The same woman has cheated three people in this manner.

Deepika also mentioned that 12 other victims are in contact with her and such frauds are happening all over Mumbai. I lost Rs 55,000 to a woman named Manisha."  A woman named Manisha, who made her debut on Tinder, took me to Andheri Godfather Club and fled at the last moment after getting a bill of Rs 55,000," said IT employee.

A software engineer from Kurla was duped of Rs 8,500  by a woman named Anushka. Cheating women often take their dating friends to Mumbai's Andheri Godfather Club.  Therefore, there is a suspicion that the Godfather Club is involved in this scam. akash Singh, owner of Godfather Club, said, "Our competitors are spreading such rumours. We have nothing to do with the women who bring young men. I think there is a conspiracy in this complaint against our company."
