The Aadhaar Authority of india (UIDAI) has issued an important notification regarding the updation of the Aadhaar card. In 2016, the Aadhaar Authority brought in the Aadhaar Fraud Prevention and Aadhaar Enrolment and Updation Regulations. As per the rules, Aadhaar cards have to be updated every 10 years. Accordingly, while most people are said to have renewed, more than 40 crore people are said to be unrenewed. This year, the Aadhaar Authority of india (UIDAI) is offering free Aadhaar renewal till september 14.

To update your name, address, photograph, etc. in your Aadhaar card, you can visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra using any one of the documents such as ration card, PAN card, voter ID card,  driving license, or bank passbook. Or you can easily renew it from home on the official website of Aadhaar free of charge. (UIDAI) The unique identification authority of india also provides a free Aadhaar updation facility.


Update Method:
First of all, log in to the Aadhaar website uidai.gov.in. Then click on the update option and submit the ones that need to be updated, the document related to the name change or surname, fill in all the information asked in the form, review and submit it again. You will receive your name or surname updated Aadhaar card within 90 days. If you want, you can get your Aadhaar card from the nearest e-service center. You can update not only through the website but also through the MyAadhaar app.

But the photo and fingerprint can be updated only at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Cardholders who do not renew after september 14 will have to pay a fee of Rs 50.
6 big changes to come into effect from september 1
As august draws to an end, there will be a number of significant changes coming from september that will directly affect the finances of the people. These changes range from LPG cylinder prices to new credit card rules and possible announcements about dearness allowance for government employees. Let's take a look at these changes coming in september and how they may impact your budget.


First Change: LPG Cylinder Price The government usually revises the LPG price on the first day of every month. These changes affect commercial and domestic gas cylinders. In this situation, the price of LPG cylinders is expected to change in September. Last month, the price of commercial LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 8.50 and in July, the price was reduced by Rs 30.


Second change: ATF and cng – PNG Rates
Along with LPG prices, oil marketing companies also revise the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel  (ATF) and CNG-PNG from time to time. Therefore, the price changes for these fuels are also expected to be made on september 1.


Third Change: Rules for Fraudulent Calls From september 1,  there may be stricter restrictions on fraudulent calls and text messages. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of india (TRAI) has advised telecom companies to curb such fraudulent activities. jio to migrate telemarketing calls and business messages starting with mobile numbers 140 to a blockchain-based distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform by september 30.   TRAI has issued strict guidelines for telecom operators like Airtel, vodafone Idea, and BSNL. This is expected to significantly reduce fraudulent calls from september 1.


Fourth Change:  Credit Card Rules from september 1, hdfc bank is set to introduce a limit on reward points earned through its in-app transactions. customers can earn a maximum of 2,000  points per month on these transactions. hdfc bank does not award any reward points for tuition-related payments made through third-party apps. From september 2024, IDFC First bank has decided to reduce the minimum fee to be paid on credit cards and reduce the payment period from  18 to  15  days. Also, customers using  RuPay credit cards on UPI and other platforms will earn the same reward points from other payment service providers as using credit cards.


Fifth Change: Dearness Allowance for government Employees In september, there is speculation that the central government will announce a hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees. The government can increase the DA by 3%. That means increasing the DA from the current 50% to 53%.

 
Sixth Change: Free Aadhaar Card Renewals The last date for free update of Aadhaar cards is september 14. After this date, some updates for Aadhaar cards cannot be done for free. It will be charged. Earlier, the last date for free Aadhaar updates was june 14, 2024,  but later it was extended to september  14, 2024.
