A resolution supported by the congress has been voted by the himachal pradesh assembly denouncing the recent remarks made by Mandi kangana ranaut, mp for the bharatiya janata party, about the demonstrations by farmers. In an interview with the hindi newspaper Dainik Bhaskar, kangana ranaut shared footage in which she said that india may have descended into a "Bangladesh-like situation" if it weren't for the nation's capable leadership. Then, she said that during the farmers' demonstration against the three agricultural rules that had been abolished, bodies were being hung and rapes were occurring.

She said that the US and china were part of the "conspiracy".

After kangana Ranaut's statements incited tense debates in her home state of congress, the house passed a resolution denouncing her views.

For several months, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, haryana, and other regions had staged a demonstration at Delhi's borders in opposition to the since-repealed agricultural regulations.

On october 1, haryana will have elections. In response, the opposition attacked the bjp MP. Sushil Gupta, the head of the AAP for haryana, stated that this demonstrated the BJP's "mindset" against farmers. AAP also staged a number of protests in Haryana.

Priyanka Chaturvedi, a member of the shiv sena (UBT), too criticized kangana ranaut and called for an apology.

She posted on X, “Kangana Ranaut has not apologised for her statement against farmers. BJP's statement expresses no regret about the charges made by her against farmers. She is a bjp member & mp, if no action taken against her it's fair to say that bjp is only paying lip service to the farmers.”
