BJP hoisted flag of victory even before by-election!!!


Even before the by-elections to 12 rajya sabha seats in 9 states, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) has won 9 seats. All these candidates of bjp have been elected unopposed. Along with this, 2 candidates of NDA's ally party were also elected unopposed. At the same time, congress has got the telangana seat unopposed. BJP's Ravneet Singh Bittu from Rajasthan, kiran Chaudhary from Haryana, George Kurien from Madhya Pradesh, upendra Kushwaha and Manan Kumar Mishra from Bihar, Rameshwar Teli and Mission Ranjan Das from Assam, Dhirya Sheel Patil from Maharashtra, mamata Mohanta from odisha and Rajiv Bhattacharya from Tripura are included. With these 9 rajya sabha MPs, the number of bjp members has increased to 96, as well as the number of nda members in the Upper house has increased to 112.


Rajasthan


Union minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu has been elected as a member of rajya sabha from Rajasthan. assembly Principal Secretary and election Officer Mahavir prasad Sharma on tuesday (August 27) declared bjp candidate Ravneet Singh elected unopposed in the by-election for one rajya sabha seat from Rajasthan. Sharma gave the certificate to Yogendra Singh Tanwar, the authorized election agent of the elected candidate Ravneet Singh and authorized to take the certificate on his behalf.


Bihar


Former Union minister upendra Kushwaha and senior supreme court advocate Manan Kumar Mishra were declared elected unopposed in the rajya sabha by-election from Bihar. This by-election was held on two rajya sabha seats due to rajya sabha MPs vivek Thakur (BJP) and Misa Bharti (RJD) being elected to the Lok Sabha. After receiving the certificate of being elected as rajya sabha member, Kushwaha and Mishra went to chief minister Nitish Kumar's residence and made a courtesy call on him. The chief minister congratulated both the newly elected MPs on their victory.


Madhya Pradesh


Union minister George Kurien was declared elected unopposed to the rajya sabha from Madhya Pradesh. The election officer said that on august 20, the bjp had declared Kurien as its candidate for the rajya sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh. The seat fell vacant after Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was elected to the lok sabha in June. Apart from Kurien, two others, including state bjp vice-president Kantdev Singh, also filed their nomination papers. Singh, a resident of Singrauli, filed his nomination papers as a dummy candidate of the saffron party.
