Prime minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden had a telephonic conversation. Status of minorities in bangladesh, PM’s recent visit to Ukraine

Prime minister Modi received a phone call from US President Joe Biden on Monday.  Prime minister Modi expressed his appreciation for President Biden's deep commitment to the India-US global partnership of democracy, rule of law and strong people-to-people relationship values.

Prime minister Modi and President Biden had extensive views on a wide range of issues. Discussing the situation in Ukraine, Modi briefed President Biden about his recent visit to Ukraine. He reiterated India'  s consistent position and expressed full support for an early return to peace and stability.

Similarly, the two leaders expressed their concern over the situation in Bangladesh. They stressed the need to restore law and order in bangladesh and restore normalcy at the earliest. They also stressed on ensuring the safety and security of minorities there, especially Hindus.

The two leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in multilateral for a, including the Quad. Reviewing the significant progress in bilateral relations, the two leaders highlighted that the India-US partnership aims to benefit both peoples and humanity.
