Actor Vijay launched his political party tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam in February. Though they did not contest the lok sabha elections, they said that the 2026 assembly elections are our target, and they were busy with the appointment of office-bearers and enrollment of members. In such a situation, the party's leader Vijay recently introduced and hoisted the party's flag. "I will soon explain the party flag and the party policy at the conference," Vijay said.

 Subsequently, the TVK office bearers are actively involved in the work related to the conference. Even before the flag unveiling ceremony, it was said that it was decided to hold the party convention in Vikravandi. At this juncture, the first state conference of Vijay's tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam will be held on september 23 at Vikravandi in Villupuram district.

Permission for this conference TVK General Secretary Bussy anand has submitted a petition to the office of the district Superintendent of Police. Trade Analyst Ramesh bala has also confirmed the same on his social media. TVK official Bussy anand met with v v Thirumal, the additional superintendent of police (headquarters) in Villupuram, and submitted a letter requesting permission to hold the party meeting on september 22. The letter also requested that sufficient security be provided, as the meeting is anticipated to draw over a lakh party members and Vijay fans.
