Known for his progressive thinking, chandrababu naidu is setting himself apart from other politicians by emphasizing not just the production of electricity but also the novel idea of power storage. His plan goes beyond simple generating to incorporate cutting-edge techniques such as battery storage, pumped storage, and e-mobility solutions in order to maximize energy efficiency and sell stored power at times of high demand.

The State Energy Department of andhra pradesh, led by him, has developed a comprehensive five-year program with the goal of integrating sustainable energy throughout the state. Following Naidu's instructions, this policy was initially reviewed and improved, and the result is the current version of the Integrated Clean Energy Policy.

The collaboration with reputable international asset management firm Brookfield is one of this initiative's most important innovations. Brookfield has committed to a significant $5 billion investment in andhra pradesh in partnership with Axis Energy. This investment would significantly increase the state's renewable energy infrastructure by going toward the development of 3.5 gigawatts (GW) of solar power and 5.5 GW of wind power assets.

The goal of Brookfield's strategy is to create over 6 GW of renewable energy assets in the next two to three years through its platform Evren. With its abundance of resources and deliberate selection as the pilot state for this program, andhra pradesh is anticipated to initiate 3 GW of projects by the end of 2026.

This collaboration is a calculated strategic effort to establish andhra pradesh as a leader in renewable energy, in line with Naidu's vision for a sustainable and energy-efficient future. It goes beyond a simple cash investment. The state's capacity to efficiently manage energy resources is further strengthened by its emphasis on power storage technologies, which sets it apart as a model for other parts of india and abroad.
