Action has been taken after the video of Katni GRP station went viral. Six policemen have been suspended on the instructions of cm Mohan Yadav. cm Mohan Yadav informed about this on social media. He said that an old video is going viral on social media. After coming to notice, a team was sent to the spot for investigation.
cm wrote on the video, "An old video of assault by the officer/employees of Thana GRP Katni is going viral on social media. On coming to my notice, I immediately instructed to send DIG rail to the spot for investigation this morning. As per the preliminary investigation, orders have been given to suspend the then station in-charge GRP Katni, including a head constable and four constables with immediate effect. Along with this, senior police officers have been instructed to ensure that such misconduct is not repeated in future."
On this matter, jabalpur Railway SP Simla prasad said, "We saw the original video. There was a CCTV camera installed in the office. TI Arun has been suspended. Along with this, five other policemen who are seen in the video have also been suspended. The entire matter will be investigated under the leadership of IG Railway Monika Shukla."
