Preparations for by-elections started in Rajasthan!!!

election commission along with political parties has also started preparations for the upcoming by-elections on 6 assembly seats in Rajasthan. Chief Electoral Officer naveen Mahajan held a meeting with the officials of 6 districts including senior officials of the election Department Headquarters. In this meeting, a meeting was held with the district election Officers, Deputy district election Officers, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishad and Returning Officers of vacant assembly seats of all 6 districts.


What did the Commission say on home voting?

Chief Electoral Officer naveen Mahajan said that mainly suggestions were given to focus on formation of polling stations as per the requirement, registration of new voters in the voter lists and then motivating them to vote, making the facility of home voting more comprehensive for elderly voters and Divyangjans. During this, the Chief Electoral Officer directed that the election Officer of the concerned district and assembly constituency should assess all the needs related to the election in advance, so that the election process can be managed and conducted smoothly when the notification is issued by the election commission of India.


These instructions were given on home voting

The Chief Electoral Officer stressed on making the home voting facility provided as per the instructions of the election commission for elderly and handicapped voters more comprehensive and convenient. naveen Mahajan said that in order to increase everyone's participation in voting during the elections, it is necessary that during the door-to-door survey, publicity should be done about home voting. Mahajan said that the election officers of the district and assembly constituency should pay attention to the fact that there may be such elderly and handicapped voters who may not have chosen the option of home voting during the last assembly or lok sabha elections, but this time they want to use this facility.
