Congress furious over the new menu of mid-day meal…

The bjp government of gujarat has made changes in the mid-day meal scheme for government and grant-in-aid schools. The government has released a new menu of mid-day meal, according to which now children will be given food only once a day. At the same time, criticizing this menu, the congress said that students will no longer be given snacks in the evening. This can increase malnutrition among students. However, state government officials claimed about the new menu that there has been no reduction in the amount of food served under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan shakti Nirman (PM-Poshan) scheme. Let us tell you that the State education Department has announced a new and updated menu for students in a new notification uploaded on its website, which will have to be followed by government and grant-in-aid schools from September.

According to news agency PTI, this new menu includes vegetable pulao and cooked pulses in every day's meal. However, currently children are given food twice a day in schools, but the new menu mentions only one-time meal. According to this new notification, the government has removed snacks from the menu. In such a situation, now children will get food only once.

congress attacks the government

gujarat congress spokesperson manish Doshi said that this will deprive lakhs of students from getting quality food. This decision of the government will only increase malnutrition among children. The government should reconsider its decision. At the same time, Joint Commissioner of gujarat Mid-Day Meal Scheme KN Chavda said that according to the new menu, there has been no reduction in the total amount of food given to the students. Till now, students used to get food at 2 pm and breakfast at 4 pm under this scheme. If we serve vegetable pulao in the meal, then we give about 20 grams of gram as breakfast at 4 pm. Now for better implementation of the scheme, we will give both these things at 2 pm.
