CTI delegation met chirag paswan, demanded the formation…?

A delegation of delhi Chamber of Trade and industry (CTI) met Union Food Processing industries minister chirag paswan on monday (September 2). During this, the people included in the delegation demanded the formation of a National Food Board from the Union minister in Delhi. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal and President Subhash Khandelwal described the meeting with Union minister chirag paswan as very positive.

delhi CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal said that the CTI delegation included Rajesh Khanna, rahul Adalkha, Kunj Nakra, Sachin Sharma, sandeep Gulati, Naeem raja and madhav Khanna. The business leaders included in the delegation have appealed to the Union minister to form a National Food Board in delhi, which includes government officials and representatives from the food industry.

There are also difficulties in getting food license

He says that right now there are difficulties in getting food license and the rules of food safety standards are also very complicated. According to an estimate, more than 50 lakh people are associated with the food industry across the country. This sector has immense employment opportunities and has the potential to provide 10 lakh new jobs. Along with indian products like pickles, jams etc., there are hundreds of such food items in india which can also be exported.

Need to promote food industry

According to Brijesh Goyal, President of delhi CTI, chirag paswan assured to hold a meeting with CTI in the ministry soon on this subject. He has asked CTI to prepare a complete blueprint of this proposal. According to CTI, restaurants, hotels, dhabas, confectioners are also troubled by the changes in food safety standards.

Food supply chain needs to be strengthened

Disposal of food waste remains challenging. According to CTI, there is a need to organize the food supply chain. Now there is a change in food and drink. The taste of new food items is increasing, food lovers do not look at the cost. In such a situation, there is a need to expand this industry.
