Kolkata incident: Striking doctors did not come to meeting?

Doctors on strike in West bengal over the kolkata rape case refused to hold a meeting with chief minister mamata Banerjee. The West bengal government had called the agitating doctors for talks after the supreme Court's order. mamata banerjee had also reached to talk to the agitating doctors. She waited for more than 2 hours, but the doctors did not come for talks. After this, mamata banerjee said, I apologize to the people of bengal with folded hands that we could not bring the doctors back to work.

Mamata Banerjee said, 27 people have died due to lack of treatment in the state. But the doctors are still on strike. I tried three times, but the meeting with the doctors could not be held. mamata said, now if there will be any meeting, it will be with the Chief Secretary and other officials.

Why did the meeting of doctors with mamta fail?

Actually, Mamta Banerjee had called the striking doctors for a meeting. A delegation of 15 junior doctors was called for talks. However, the government had prohibited live telecast of the meeting. Due to this, the junior doctors reached the meeting place but did not go inside. mamta Banerjee waited there for 2 hours. The doctors refused to hold the meeting without telecast.
