PM Modi Criticizes congress and JMM for Alleged Mistreatment of Tribals in Jharkhand

Prime minister Narendra Modi took aim at the congress party and the jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Sunday, accusing them of corruption and mistreatment of Adivasi leader Champai Soren, who recently joined the bharatiya janata party (BJP).

During a public rally, Modi criticized the ruling coalition, alleging that they were trained in the "Congress school of Corruption." He claimed that the removal of Soren from his position as jharkhand Chief minister was a blow to the state's poor and Adivasis. Modi promised that the people of jharkhand would address this injustice.

He stated, “Was Champai Soren not an Adivasi? Did he not come from a poor background? The way he was humiliated to take away the CM’s position has hurt every poor and Adivasi in Jharkhand. Sita Soren was also disrespected and removed from her own family. The most corrupt party in the country is the congress, and the most corrupt family is the congress family. The JMM is also following the same path, trained by the congress school of Corruption.”

On Sunday, Modi also inaugurated several projects worth ₹660 crore from Ranchi, including the foundation stones for the Madhupur bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribag town coaching depot. Modi emphasized that the depot would facilitate new trains and services. Additionally, he announced the doubling of the Kurkura-Kanaroan line, part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi single-line section and the Rourkela-Gomoh route via Ranchi, Muri, and Chandrapura stations. These upgrades are expected to enhance the mobility of goods and passenger traffic. Modi also launched four road-under-bridges (RUBs).

“The development work on railway lines, their doubling, and modernization of facilities at railway stations is progressing rapidly in jharkhand,” Modi noted. He is currently on a three-day visit to jharkhand, Gujarat, and Odisha, where he will lay foundation stones and launch projects totaling more than ₹12,460 crore.
