Govinda's name is included in the list of superstars of the 90s. At one time, the actor's stardom was at its peak and he used to be the crush of girls. His fan following list was quite long. However, now govinda has been away from the screen for a long time and meanwhile his wife Sunita has narrated an incident which tells the extent of Govinda's stardom. During a conversation with Timeout with Ankit, Sunita revealed how once a fan of govinda stayed as a maid in his house for 20 days. Sunita said- 'There was a fan who pretended to be a maid and she stayed with us for about 20-22 days.' Sunita tells that after seeing that girl and her work, she suspected that there was something fishy.
Govinda's maid turned out to be a minister's daughter
Sunita said- 'I thought she looked like she was from a good family. I told my mother-in-law that she did not know how to clean utensils or how to clean the house. Finally we came to know that she was a minister's daughter and a govinda fan. I was young at that time but I had become suspicious. She used to stay awake till late and wait for Govinda. I was shocked.'
The girl had called herself a govinda fan
Govinda's wife further said- 'Finally I got her background check. Then she spoke to us crying and confessed that she was a govinda fan. Then her father came and brought four cars with him. I think she worked with us for about 20 days. Such is his fan following.'
govinda has done about 130 films
Let us tell you that govinda made his bollywood debut with the 1986 film 'Ilzaam'. After this, he worked in about 130 films. Among these, many films like 'Partner' and 'Coolie Number One', 'Raja Babu' and 'Dulhe Raja' were hits.
