cm Naidu Accuses jagan government of Using Animal Fat in tirupati Laddus,

andhra pradesh Chief minister N. chandrababu naidu has accused the previous YSRCP government, led by Y.S. jagan Mohan reddy, of using animal fat instead of ghee in the preparation of the tirupati laddu prasadam at Tirumala. This prasad is offered to millions of devotees visiting the Lord venkateswara swamy Temple.

During an nda legislature party meeting in Amravati, Naidu claimed that substandard ingredients had been used, stating, “Even tirumala laddu was made with animal fat.” He emphasized that under his administration, pure ghee is now being used and that the temple's practices have been improved.

andhra pradesh IT minister Nara lokesh echoed Naidu's sentiments on X, criticizing the jagan administration for failing to respect the religious sentiments of devotees. He expressed shock over the allegations and condemned the YSRCP government for its actions.

In response, the YSRCP condemned Naidu's remarks as politically motivated. YSRCP rajya sabha MP Y.V. Subba reddy accused Naidu of undermining the sanctity of the tirumala temple and the faith of Hindus. He challenged Naidu to take an oath regarding the integrity of the tirupati prasadam, asserting that such accusations were inappropriate.

This isn’t the first time concerns have been raised about the quality of the laddu prasadam. The telugu desam party (TDP) has previously criticized the management of the prasadam, highlighting the lack of quality testing procedures. Recently, however, the tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board has established a new sensory perception laboratory in Mysuru to enhance quality checks for the ingredients used in the laddus.
