* Great importance to the development of the kanipakam temple.
* The previous ycp government did not follow tradition.
* The post of chairman to non-locals.
Kanipakam is a famous shrine after tirumala and srikalahasti in the chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. According to the temple tradition, the post of chairman of kanipakam temple has been given to two local people. No matter which government comes in the state, the post of chairman of this temple has been given to both people. The past governments have given great importance to the development of the kanipakam temple. But in the past, after coming to power, the ycp government has given praise to the tradition that has been coming for generations. It has given the post of chairman to non-locals instead of both locals. It has given the post of temple chairman to a woman named Pramila reddy from Penumuru mandal, not from putalapattu constituency but from gangadhara nellore constituency.
Former mp of chittoor, Gnanendra reddy, was given this post as she was given the post. Both local people and ycp leaders had high hopes for the post of chairman of kanipakam temple. But unlike their imagination, Pramila reddy was given the post of chairman of kanipakam temple in the nominated posts announced by the then ycp government. Pramila reddy previously worked as a former MPP in Penumuru mandal. This made both local and ycp leaders angry. The ycp leaders expressed their displeasure as they were not given the nominated post after working hard in the party for a long time. The ycp leaders have demanded that the post of chairman be given to both parties or to local leaders. Both parties have threatened to approach the court if the ycp government does not change its attitude.
