Big reshuffle in Bhagwant Mann cabinet today!!!
Cabinet reshuffle is going to take place in punjab today (September 23) after about 10 months. Five new ministers will be included in the cabinet of chief minister bhagwant mann, while four old faces have also been out of the cabinet. Four ministers have resigned from the Council of Ministers on Sunday. The ministers who have resigned include Balkaur Singh, chetan Singh Jouramajra, Brahm shankar Jimpa and Anmol Gagan. Hardeep Singh Mundian is an mla from Sahnewal. In 2022, he defeated vikram singh Bajwa of congress while contesting on an AAP ticket. 34.33 percent votes went in favor of Mundian. Sahnewal has been a seat of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Mohinder Bhagat
Among the five new names being included in the cabinet, Mohinder Bhagat was the most discussed who won the by-election on Jalandhar West seat. Mohinder Bhagat defeated bjp candidate sheetal Angural. Mohinder Bhagat got 55,245 votes here. sheetal Angural was elected from this seat in 2022 on an AAP ticket.
Tarunpreet S Sondh
Tarunpreet S Sondh defeated Gurkirat Singh Kotli of Shiromani Akali Dal in the 2022 assembly elections. Sondh got 62,425 votes while Kotli could get only 26805 votes. Kotli won this seat in 2017.
Barinder Goyal
Barinder Goyal defeated Parminder Singh Dhindsa of SAD(S) in the last assembly elections. Dhindsa won the election from this seat in 2017 but Goyal defeated Dhindsa by a big margin in the 2022 elections.
