Before PM Modi's show, Khalistani plotting big conspiracy?

India's prime minister Narendra Modi is currently on a visit to America. PM Modi reached Nassau Coliseum Indoor Stadium in New York on Sunday, the second day of his visit. The PM spoke to a sizable assembly of indian Americans during this. Supporters of Khalistani were planning to sabotage PM Modi's agenda. The New York police have so far thwarted their ambitions.

Local media outlets indicate that a fan of Khalistani has been taken into custody by the New York Police. When some Khalistanis attempted to obstruct indian prime minister Narendra Modi's speech at the Nassau Coliseum, an arrest was made. A CNN report claims that some fans of Khalistani entered during PM Modi's program carrying banners and placards. The Nassau County police took down the banner that read "Sikhs for Justice" that they had displayed on the street close to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Provocative propaganda that had been distributed close to the event was also taken down at the same time.

A handful of Khalistani supporters in America

CNN has quoted sources in its report saying that people of the Khalistani group have tried to plot against the government. This has happened at a time when a foreign political dignitary is on a visit to the country. New York officials have expressed concern over the activities carried out by the Khalistani group. They said that there are a handful of Sikhs working with Khalistani groups. American officials said that such posters and banners were constantly trying to influence the Khalistani government.

Tight security for PM Modi in America

Sources said that the American government is serious about the relations between india and America. They will not allow any such activity which may cause embarrassment to the governments of both the countries. The American government has provided tight security to prime minister Modi.
