Meanwhile, congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has made a big claim about congress seats.
Maharashtra congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar said that "Seat sharing is currently being discussed in MVA. We are coordinating and preparing to contest the elections together. According to the survey, congress should contest on about 125 seats. It is the responsibility of every alliance to communicate and coordinate effectively. In the future, we hope to see the cm of MVA. We are not fighting for the post of chief minister but for the rights of 15 crore people of Maharashtra."
Sources say that the three parties are unanimous on 60 percent of the seats. There is still a deadlock on some seats but they will be resolved soon through talks. According to sources, out of 288 seats in the state, uddhav thackeray will contest 100 seats and congress will contest 100 seats. Sharad Pawar's party has been given 84 seats and the remaining four seats have been kept for allies. However, thackeray faction mp Sanjay Raut had blamed the congress for the delay, accusing it of being 'busy'.
When will elections be held in Maharashtra?
Congress managed to win 13 out of 48 seats in maharashtra in the lok sabha elections 2024. MVA got a total of 31 seats (including Sangli seat won by a rebel congress leader). The ruling coalition got only 17 seats. Now elections for the 288-member assembly in maharashtra are likely to be held in November. MVA leaders are already engaged in defeating the bjp coalition government in this election.
