Shivraj Singh Chouhan's big promise to farmers...
Union Agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on thursday that if the bjp comes to power in jharkhand, farmers will be provided financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per acre annually for up to five acres and paddy will be purchased from them at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal. For the jharkhand assembly elections to be held later this year, Chouhan said that the financial assistance given to women if the bjp forms the government will be double the assistance given under the 'Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana' of the JMM-led government.
bjp in-charge for jharkhand assembly elections Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing the BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' in Sisai of Gumla district, said that the previous bjp government in the state used to give Rs 5,000 per acre annually to farmers for up to five acres, but the JMM-led coalition government stopped it after coming to power in 2019. If the bjp returns to power in the state, the scheme will be restored and farmers will get Rs 5,000 per acre in addition to Rs 6,000 given by the Center under the Kisan Samman nidhi Yojana.
'Will buy paddy at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal'
The Union minister alleged that the condition of paddy procurement in jharkhand is very bad, because the government does not buy paddy from them. He said that if the bjp comes to power in the state, we will buy paddy from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal. The jharkhand Cabinet on september 20 approved a proposal for a bonus of Rs 100 per quintal on paddy in addition to the Center's minimum support price (MSP) for crops in the financial year 2024-25. Chauhan said that the JMM-led government had promised to give Rs 2,000 as Chulha Expenses five years ago, but it did not fulfill its promise.
‘Women will be given double the amount of assistance’
He alleged that the government has decided to give Rs 1,000 per month to women because the elections are near. He announced that the assistance amount for women will be doubled from the first month itself if bjp comes to power. He also claimed that the JMM-led government had promised to give five lakh jobs to the youth and an allowance of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 to unemployed youth, but the government did not give them anything.
