The wedding season will start from november 12, 2024. According to a research by the Confederation of All india Traders (CAIT), this year the goods and services retail sector can have a business of about Rs 5.9 lakh crore in the wedding season. Last year, the total business was Rs 4.25 lakh crore due to about 35 lakh weddings. In the year 2023, there were 11 auspicious dates for weddings, while this year there are 18 auspicious dates. This will also increase the business. According to CAT, in delhi alone, business of Rs 1.5 lakh crore is estimated from 4.5 lakh weddings this season.

These are the auspicious wedding dates of this year

According to acharya Durgesh Tare, convener of CAT's Veda and Spiritual Committee, this year the wedding season will start from november 12, Dev Uthani Ekadashi and will continue till december 16. The auspicious dates in november are 12, 13, 17, 18, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, and 29, while in december they are 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16. After this, wedding programs will stop for about a month and will start again from mid-January, 2025 to March.

Demand for these things increases in the wedding season

CAT National General Secretary and mp Praveen Khandelwal said that consumers are now giving priority to indian goods. prime minister Narendra Modi's call for 'Vocal for Local' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' is getting stronger. CAT National President bc Bhartia said that in the wedding season, the sale of things like clothes, sarees, lehengas, apparel, jewelry, electronics, electrical equipment, dry fruits, sweets, namkeen, grocery items, vegetables and gifts increases. Apart from this, the demand for banquet halls, hotels, marriage houses, event management, tent decoration, catering services, flower decoration, transport, cab service, photography, videography, orchestra, band, light and sound also increases.
