congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa said on former AAP candidate from Nilokheri seat amar singh joining the party, "Most of the people of the Sikh community had appealed to him (Amar Singh) that they want to vote for him, but now he wants to teach bjp a lesson for being anti-farmer, anti-Dalit, anti-backward class and anti-soldier. A few days before the election, at the most crucial time of the election, he has decided to join congress and withdraw from AAP's candidature." He further said, "Some people called me today from Karnal that amar singh and all his associates want to support the congress candidate without any conditions and amar singh also wants to distance himself from the Aam Aadmi Party's candidature."
