police said that this incident happened on wednesday in Talavas village of Dei area, when 14 boys were burning dry neem leaves to repel mosquitoes in a corner of the hall, where they were sleeping on foam mattresses. Suddenly flames started rising in the night. Hearing their screams, by the time someone reached to rescue them, three students were badly burnt.

Three students suffered 60 percent burns

Dei police station in-charge Babulal said that late night a fire broke out when a spark from the ash fell on the foam mattress due to the air from the fan and cooler. Babulal said that Ritesh Sharma (13), Shivshankar Sharma (13) and Abhijeet Sharma (12) suffered 60 percent burns.

Gurukul teacher suresh Sharma told the whole story

Gurukul teacher suresh Sharma said that he had taught 14 children till 10:30 pm on wednesday night. He told that after classes, 10 boys used to sleep in the big hall with fans and coolers on, while four boys used to sleep outside. He told that after hearing the screams of the boys, he immediately ran and saved them from the fire. However, by then three boys had been burnt. Let us tell you that last night one person died and several people got burnt due to a fire in a house in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. However, all the people trapped in the house were safely evacuated.
