Just before the assembly elections in haryana, ashok Tanwar has left bjp and joined Congress. mp Deepender Singh Hooda has taken a dig at bjp on ashok Tanwar joining Congress. Talking to ABP News, he said that bjp is anti-Dalit and leaders are not respected in this party. While talking to ABP News, he said, "How much insult Dalit leaders must be facing in bjp that a leader like ashok Tanwar had to join congress before the assembly elections."

congress mp Deepender Singh Hooda is also continuously engaged in the campaign for the assembly elections. On the last day of the election campaign, he appealed to the people to vote while holding an election meeting in support of congress candidate Bharat Singh Beniwal from Ellenabad. Along with this, he also attacked bjp and other parties.

The congress mp from rohtak said, "The hour of decision has come and the whole country is looking towards Haryana. bjp has to be wiped out but do not forgive BJP's B-team, C-team (like JJP, INLD, HLP) vote-cutter parties and independent candidates."
