The problems of private sector airline SpiceJet are increasing. Recently, information came to light that the company has paid the PF dues of the employees. Also, the outstanding salary of the employees was also paid. After this, the company could not even breathe a sigh of relief and now information has come to light that the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of delhi police has registered an FIR against MD ajay Singh and other officials in SpiceJet. In this, allegations of dishonesty and criminal conspiracy have been made.

EPFO accused of not paying PF of Rs 65.7 crore

delhi police has taken this action on the complaint of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). According to the report of Economic Times, EPFO has alleged that SpiceJet has not paid PF contribution of Rs 65.7 crore. About 10 thousand employees work in SpiceJet. The company deducts 12 percent PF from their salary every month. SpiceJet has not deposited the money deducted from the salary of the employees from june 2022 to june 2024 in the PF account. 15 days time is given for this.

Apart from ajay Singh, action was taken against shivani singh and other directors

The Economic Offenses Wing has registered this FIR on 16 September. Apart from ajay Singh, it includes the names of SpiceJet director Shivani Singh, independent director Anurag Bhargava, ajay Chhotelal Aggarwal and Manoj Kumar. It has been said in the FIR that it is necessary to deposit the money deducted from the salary of the employees with the EPFO on time.


SpiceJet had claimed to have paid 10 months' PF

SpiceJet had announced on 4 october that it has deposited 10 months' PF money. It has also paid GST along with paying the salaries of employees by raising Rs 3000 crore through QIP. The airline's spokesperson had said that SpiceJet is on the path of improvement. We will fulfill all our responsibilities. Apart from this, the company has also settled with the companies that rent aircraft. However, after this FIR, the situation does not seem to be normal for the airline at the moment. SpiceJet's stock closed down on Friday.
