Legendary industrialist ratan tata passed away on wednesday night. He breathed his last at the age of 86 in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. His death has caused a wave of mourning in the entire country including business, entertainment, politics and sports world. Meanwhile, rajasthan Chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma has expressed grief over the death of Ratan Tata.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma tweeted on his social media handle X and said, "The death of India's well-known industrialist and social worker ratan tata ji is very sad. Tata's contribution was not limited to the business sector only. He also made his invaluable contribution in social service and nation building." He said, "Under his leadership, the Tata Group not only made india proud at the global level, but also played an important role in the economic and social development of the country. May Lord Shri ram give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this thunderbolt. Om Shanti"

Worked in America before joining the Tata Group

ratan tata was born on 28 december 1937. He received his early education from Cathedral and john Conan school in Mumbai. After this, he obtained a degree in Architecture and Structural Engineering from Cornell University, America. ratan tata worked for some time in America before joining the Tata Group in 1962. In 1981, he was made the Chairman of Tata Industries. After the retirement of JRD Tata in 1991, ratan tata took over as the Chairman of Tata Sons. ratan tata gave a new identity to the Tata Group under his leadership. He acquired many big foreign companies, including companies like Tetley, Jaguar land rover and Corus. Under his leadership, the Tata Group became one of the largest companies in the world.

ratan tata was also known for his social work. He was the chairman of the Tata Trust, which worked in areas like education, health and poverty. ratan tata was awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the government of india for his contribution.
