Aam Aadmi party (AAP) rajya sabha mp Raghav Chadha on wednesday (October 9) attacked congress in gestures on its defeat in haryana elections. While talking to news agency IANS, he advised the congress and said that if congress had shown unity in haryana elections, the results could have been somewhat different. Aam Aadmi Party's rajya sabha mp Raghav Chadha said, "AAP is capable of defeating bjp in Delhi. This is our self-confidence, not overconfidence." He has somewhere indicated that AAP will not form an alliance with congress in the assembly elections to be held in delhi next year.
What did he say about Congress's defeat in Haryana?
AAP mp Raghav Chadha said that the results of haryana seem less of a victory for the bharatiya janata party (BJP) and more of a defeat for the Congress. The results show that if the elections had been fought with unity in the state, the results could have been the opposite. Recently, assembly elections were held in two states kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir and Haryana. In kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir, the All india Alliance fought the elections unitedly. There the alliance won and bjp lost, but in haryana the alliance could not fight the elections unitedly. Some circumstances were such that unity could not be formed and the results did not come in our favour. The election results came in favour of BJP.
'Need to learn from defeat'
He said that I think we should learn a lot from these elections. The first lesson is that we should not be overconfident, we should not get killed by overconfidence, having confidence in electoral politics is a very good thing, having self-confidence is even better, but having overconfidence is a very bad thing. In haryana, more than 60 percent of the votes were cast against BJP. This vote was cast for change and a new government. A little less than 40 percent of the votes were cast in favour of BJP. Still, call it the magic of statistics or the first past the post system. bjp won in this, hence there is a need for unity in Haryana.
