As per report results of 88 out of 90 seats in kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir have been declared, in which congress has won six seats. congress contested the elections here in alliance with Farooq Abdullah's National Conference. National Conference has also won 41 seats and is leading on one.
Perhaps under the alliance, congress contested 38 seats and managed to win only about 20 percent of the seats. congress state president Tariq Hameed Karra has won the election. He has won the Central Shalteng seat. Apart from him, Irfan Hafiz Lone from Wagoora Kreeri, Nizamuddin Butt from Bandipora, Ghulam ahmed Mir from Doru, Pirzada Saeed from anantnag and Iftikar ahmed from Rajouri have won the elections. Of these, congress has won five seats in kashmir and one seat in Jammu region.
Meanwhile Tariq Hameed Karra has won by 14395 votes from Central Shalteng. He got 18933 votes. Here PDP has remained at fourth place. In Bandipora, Congress' Nizamuddin Butt has got victory by a very narrow margin. He has won by 811 votes. He got 20391 votes. Here PDP has remained at eighth place. In Wagoora Kreeri, Irfan Hafiz Lone defeated Syed Basharat ahmed Bukhari of PDP by 7751 votes.
Ghulam ahmed Mir has got 44270 votes on Doru seat. He has defeated Mohammad Ashraf Malik of PDP by a margin of 29728 votes. Here the candidate of Ghulam Nabi Azad's party remained at third place. In anantnag seat, Pirzada Saeed defeated Mehboob Beg of PDP by 1686 votes. Saeed got 6679 votes. Here also DPAP remained at third place. In Rajouri, there was a direct contest between bjp and Congress. Here Congress's Iftikar ahmed defeated BJP's Vibodh Kumar by 1404 votes. Iftikar got 28923 votes and Vibodh got 27519 votes.
