Underworld don Prakash Pandey alias PP Pandey has been expelled from Juna Akhara. This decision was taken after the report of the Juna Akhara's investigation committee. Prakash Pandey, who is currently lodged in almora jail, was initiated in jail some time ago, after which he was also given the responsibility of some monasteries. Now, based on the findings of the investigation, Prakash Pandey has been expelled from Juna Akhara.

The main controversy in this entire case was that the saints who gave initiation to PP Pandey in jail have been called 'fake saints'. According to the Akhara, these saints had no official connection with the Akhara, and an investigation was conducted on the basis of which initiation was given. Mahant hari Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara clarified that the underworld don has been dismissed from the Akhara, and it has also been ensured that in future such controversial persons will be avoided from being associated with the Akhara.

The name of Prakash Pandey alias PP Pandey has already been famous in the underworld, and the news of him being given initiation while in jail had created a lot of resentment among the people. Many religious organizations and social organizations had strongly objected to this. Along with initiation, PP Pandey was given the responsibility of many important monasteries, which made the matter even more serious.
