The new issue is related to the approval of the file that increases the financial powers of the MCD Commissioner by more than Rs 5 crore for five projects of MCD's solid waste management. On this issue, the LG's office is saying that the delhi government's Urban Development Ministry is delaying the garbage management by stalling it.
'LG lowered the dignity of the constitutional post'
Delhi's Urban Development minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has fiercely attacked the lg on this issue. Bhardwaj said that this is very unfortunate. lg has lowered the dignity of his constitutional post so much. He has become used to fabricating false stories to defame the ministers of the elected government.
lg office knows very well that their lies will be exposed by the elected government within an hour. Hence, they have started spreading false and malicious news late at night. So that the ministers who have big responsibilities of their constituencies on their shoulders cannot respond immediately to the propaganda of lg office.
Objection to giving unlimited power to MCD commissioner
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that lg office has become so desperate that it wanted to give unlimited powers to LG's favourite MCD commissioner without any checks. The elected government was ready to increase the financial powers of the municipal corporation by more than Rs 5 crore, subject to the approval of the MCD House. It is beyond comprehension why lg does not want any kind of check and balance on the MCD commissioner?
