The delhi government has intensified preparations for Chhath Mahaparva. To ensure that there is no shortage in the preparations for Chhath this year too, chief minister Atishi held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Water Board, Flood and Irrigation Control Department, Revenue Department and all district Magistrates on Monday. The chief minister instructed the officials to start all the necessary preparations for Chhath Mahaparva from now itself to avoid last minute chaos so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem.

What did Atishi say?

chief minister Atishi said that Chhath Mahaparva is a festival of faith for millions of devotees. In such a situation, the delhi government is ensuring that there is no shortage in the preparations so that this festival can be celebrated with joy and the devotees can worship Chhathi maiya without any hassle.

While instructing the officials, he said that all the district Magistrates should start preparations for Chhath Ghats in their districts. Also, the officials should start holding meetings with the local Chhath Puja committees and take their suggestions for the successful organization of the Puja and make preparations accordingly. chief minister Atishi said that this year also the delhi government will get more than 1,000 Chhath Ghats prepared across delhi for the convenience of the devotees. So that the devotees can worship Chhathi maiya near their home.

These facilities will be available at Chhath Ghat

All these Chhath Ghats will be provided with clean water, tents, electricity, toilets, security, medical facilities, power backup, CCTV cameras and all other necessary arrangements. He also instructed the officials to take special care of cleanliness at the Chhath Ghats. This year, the delhi government will get a big and model Chhath Ghat prepared in every assembly for the convenience of the devotees, where cultural programs will also be organized by the delhi government.
